Entry #0: Blogs in 2024?
"Yo, bro, did you see that new post from PutHereWhateverYouWant.kekw? It's so cool, I love this writing so much" - A nobody in my entire life. Fortunately or unfortunately, I was born right in the moment of the timeline when common text blogging was replaced by video blogging, the brand new format of that moment. That is why for me, for most people of my age, and especially younger ones the idea of traditional blogs running from the hand of more than one person and describing something for mass looks strange, because "Who wants to create something for a big audience, expecting for popularity and doesn't use the most popular format - video?", and according to last trends, the exact format of the short video. Adding to questioning about the rationality of format, there is also the fact that common text blogs just way too much remind the newspaper, and, I mean, imagine teens right now learning about trends from the newspaper? Me neither. But are traditional blogs really that much not a current interest right now? Have they really disappeared soon? What are some good and some bad examples of blogs today and why I just don't like any of them?
Dotting the i's, the common text blogs will never fully disappear at least because, after all, writing is the fastest way of sharing information with the mass audience, because no, the TikTok video about new gossip with shaking hands and a full timeline of 44 seconds is not really a presentable way of sharing info, even if it's had a billions of views. Yes, it's truly not the current interest now, but as the saying is nobody knows what tomorrow will bring. Way too many lyrics already, so, what's about the main idea, where are examples? Here we go, the two examples of blogs about "successful success" the Primer and FastCompany.
What is my opinion? I don't really like them both, but not because they are bad, the blogs are just not really my type of content in general. In a situation when I need to choose, I could say that I like the Primer more than FastCompany at least because of the design. For me, FastCompany looks way too busy and makes me want to instantly close the page. The texts on both blogs in well-written, but again, I'm just not a main audience for this all, but I think the right people will really enjoy them.
The website primer did seem more easy both on the eyes and brain because of how simple it is with not much changes besides the images and titles but I prefer fast company from the fonts. I like when people use different fonts to section parts but I know it can come across as chaotic.
